Nothing Is Permanent And That’s the Magic! Finding Gratitude in...
Read MoreKG and I had one of those whoa moments in San Diego—the kind that shifts something deep inside you. We were heading to the beach, carrying the usual weight of expectations—the ones we put on ourselves, the ones we place on each other. But something about the ocean always has a way of stripping that away. So, we let go. Just for a moment. Just to be.
We found a spot near the waves, closer than we’d normally sit. The tide was rolling in hard, crashing loud, almost like it was trying to tell us something. And as we sat there, we felt it—that fear. The fear of never being enough. The fear of never having enough. The heaviness of feeling like a burden. The frustration of feeling stuck, uninspired, disconnected from the things that once made us feel alive.
And yet, the ocean didn’t fight the waves. It became them. It let them rise and crash and roll back again. No resistance. No fear. Just movement. Just flow.
So, we took a deep breath—salty air filling our lungs, wind whipping sand against our skin. And in that breath, something shifted. The weight started to lift.
The anxiety of never being enough, the fear of never having enough, the burden we feel to others, and the lack of creation or motivation—these are just symptoms of something deeper. A soulful disconnection. We don’t realize it until that ache for more becomes unbearable—until our soul is screaming for deeper intimacy, not just with others, but with life itself.
We realized how often we get caught up in worry, constantly trying to control a future that isn’t even here yet. And in doing that, we disconnect from what is here. We miss the life happening right now. And when it all feels like too much, we numb. We scroll, we binge-watch, we check out—because sometimes, feeling nothing seems easier than feeling everything.
But the more we numb, the further we drift—from ourselves, from each other, from the very life we’re trying so hard to live.
And then, as the waves met the shore once more, the storm broke. Peace settled in, wrapping itself around us like an old friend. A sacred moment, frozen in time. A memory etched into our souls forever.
This experience completely reshaped our excitement for creating more of life’s in-between moments—the spaces where magic truly unfolds. Life on the road is a blueprint, guiding us back to that inner spark, that deep remembrance of the soul’s true journey. It invites us to embrace the raw, the real, and the beautifully unfiltered essence of being fully, unapologetically human.
The key we’ve been discovering is that it’s always a choice. Sometimes, it takes more effort—a deeper commitment to truly living. Some days, we remember with ease, and other days, we forget. But hey, isn’t that the beauty of life? The dance between remembering and rediscovering, over and over again.
“The in-between moments reveal themselves when we stop running, stop resisting, and truly see what’s in front of us… a human experience our infinite soul chose to have. It’s about the connections we nurture, the memories we make, and the spark of creation our soul is craving. It’s about embracing and fully experiencing the moments of the in-between.”
